  1. 2009 Will Soon Be A Corpse

    December 31, 2009 by nick

The December 29th Stand Up Show was an unmitigated success, and thanks are in order to all in attendance, except the fat guys in the front who yelled, “Suck my balls” at Pete. Those guys deserve a parade. DVDs are pending, however Lisa provided an insurance policy and filmed it, so video will be en route in some form. Listener Alyssa also was involved with our material, so keep an eye out for that podcast subplot.

Two new updates are up over at Critelli Comedy, one including videos and another with a review of the performance.

The New Year will contain dozens of new episodes, a permanent podcast central, new features as well as the return of old ones, more guests and of course, your favorite – shitty wordplay.

    Happy New Year!

  2. Recording Session Tonight!

    December 23, 2009 by nick

We have resumed recording, and a new episode will be up shortly.

In the meantime, Lamebook is highly recommended – it’s a better version of Texts From Last Night, but with an editorial voice, puns, and a much more authentic feel.

    Stay tuned!

  3. Critelli Strikes Back

    December 18, 2009 by nick

Miss hearing our voices because we haven’t posted an episode in almost a day or something? Well good news! Critelli saves the day.

He has just made his first post on his new website Critelli Comedy, which includes several phone conversations between Critelli and both Nick and Pete as well as other content. It’s a genius idea for a site, as he looks to take you through the entire comedic process and development, as well as allowing interaction.

    Check it out!

  4. Links Dump!

    December 10, 2009 by nick

In the meantime, here’s a great baseball blog from SomethingAwful poster Crion. It’s written from an Orioles’ perspective, but that shouldn’t discourage you! Fans know the most about their own teams, and in the case of losing teams they often know more about winning teams than their own fans do. Crion knows his stuff. I suppose this isn’t a sports-driven site, but Pete went giddy when I turned him on to FanGraphs so why not?

Good luck to all of our listeners who are taking finals, and if you have a spare minute and want a laugh and some Christmas Cheer I recommend this nonsense. Much like Glenn’s childhood, in this song Christmas decorations were combined with bizarre sexual rituals.

And finally – POLL – Worse Commercial:
T-Mobile Awful Song And Dead Careers?

    or

Horrid Cover of The Beatles Plus Contrived Culturalism!

    You decide 2009!

  5. Pete, Nick, and Critelli To Tell Jokes On A Stage For An Audience

    December 3, 2009 by nick

On December 29th of 2009 Pete, Nick, and former guest and current homeless person Critelli will be doing comedy sets at Comix Comedy Club.

To go, here’s what you need to know:
Dec. 29th at 9:30pm, Comix Comedy Club, New York City, New York. On 14th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue in the Meat-Packing district.

    To get a reservation call:
    212-524-2500

Ask to make a reservation for that 9:30 show on the 29th, and tell them which comic you’re coming to see. Doing so will cut you cover cost in half, down to $7. It’s a lot of fun, and at these shows performers such as Jim Gaffigan, Judah Friedlander, and Darrell Hammond have shown up out of nowhere to do sets.

If you don’t do this, nobody will like you, or invite you to their birthday parties, and they’ll probably make fun of the way you dress and talk.

  6. Match The Tweet With The Twat

    October 14, 2009 by nick

New 41 minute episode to come shortly as soon as we can transfer it from Glenn’s computer to Ryan’s. In the meantime, Nick has started up a Twitter account specifically for sports commentary, primarily baseball. Check it out if you enjoy his angry rants about shit that doesn’t matter.

  7. Update!

    October 7, 2009 by nick

I can’t imagine anybody still checks this, as there haven’t been updates in literally weeks. I have survived swine flu, and returned to the land of podcasts, where drops are plentiful and the maidens are non-existent. We recorded a couple new episodes and they should be up as soon as Ryan gets a chance – he’s had some ordeals as well, which you will hear about on the pending episodes.

Pete and I also did another stand up gig at Comix on Monday the 5th, and Jim Gaffigan actually showed up and did a set. Very exciting stuff. That will also be podcasted about, to be sure.

    Thanks for sticking with us.

    -Nick

  8. H1No Post

    September 21, 2009 by nick

Thought we had worn out every excuse not to post an episode? Think again. My stay in Atlanta will be prolonged – I had been planning to return Tuesday night, with new episodes to follow. However, this afternoon I discovered I have Swine Flu.

When I will be able to return is now a mystery, however one hopes that I don’t die. If I do, it is my last wish that my bones be used for future bonecasts.

  9. Former Guest Becomes Famous As Direct Result of Clikit or Tikit

    September 18, 2009 by nick

Despite the fact that this performance was several years ago, predating the show, Mike would never have gotten this huge gig if it weren’t for us. Check it out – if you squint your eyes and cock your head to the side, he kind of looks like Bruce Campbell!

Here you can find a July 2007th Comedy Performance and of course his infamous Stolen Jokes bit. While the episodes have been sparse lately, the laughs just keep coming.

  10. Comix

    August 19, 2009 by nick

Pete and I had another successful show at Comix last night – Judah Friedlander of 30 Rock fame showed up for a surprise set. Of course, Pete and I gave the best stand up performances of all time, beating our previous world records for comedy. As you might expect this got in the way of recording an episode last night, however we should be getting right back into the swing of things for the end of the summer.

Thanks to those of you who made it out to the show – your support makes us rich and famous.
